Certified English Language Teacher with experience in young/intermediate/advanced learners and exam preparation

Hello all! I am Maira , I am an English Language teacher and I am from Greece! I studied to become an English Language Teacher in Aristotle University (English Language and Literature) and then I did a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language in Birmingham, UK. I chose teaching because it´s fun,creative and challenging. I have experience in teaching young, intermediate and advanced learners as well as in exam preparation.
For me it is really important to consider the learner's preferences and style and incorporate it into the teaching process. Learning a new language is a strenuous process and for this reason I find it essential to find ways to motivate my students, to inspire them and to enhance their progress. For example, with the use of songs, books, articles on the student's preferred topic the learners can practice grammar, expand their vocabulary while being stimulated to learn. That does not exclude though the use of a course book which would be the main learning guide.
One thing I am particular about is grammar. Grammar is the scaffolding keeping the language structure together. So do expect from me to place emphasis on tenses, irregular verbs, prepositions etc. Do not be afraid though, even if it sounds difficult we can conquer grammar a step at a time :)
What to expect from me? Tailored classes, constant motivation, professionalism and organisation. All of the above with the use of a course book and personal teaching material.
