Puigvert i Juan Anna
I’m a student-athlete from Spain studying in the United States of America in her last year of college. Willing to work individually or as a team with excellent communication and written skills in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
I will be graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan College in December of 2020 with a B.S. Physics degree and mathematics minor. After my graduation, I want to pursue a Master’s Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering and hopefully acquire a Ph.D. after I finish up my masters. I have always been fascinated by the design of moving devices such as cars and industrial machinery and also during high school by all things related with atoms and the periodical table.
Ever since I was young I have always been interested in sciences and engineering. I always loved doing the math in classes and looking at ways to solve problems before I was taught how. This is my driving force to challenge myself, learn, and overcome adversity to solve problems. I want to learn all I can and apply that knowledge to help advance my field further. I want to work on engineering projects that takes mechanical engineering to a whole new level.
I am currently a junior-senior with a lot of discipline and focus on my academic career and my goal is improve my knowledge and capability to another label. It is my last year in the U.S.A. but I am glad to be part of these big family. I am from Spain and I ended in the United States because I liked WVWC campus and the good relation between all the members of it and for the opportunity of studies and swimming that they offered me. English is not a problem for me even if I am from a different country. I spent most of my time focusing on my academics because I wanted the best education. I have excelled in all my classes and have obtained an average of 3.934 GPA over 4.0 at West Virginia Wesleyan College. My main things are physics and mathematics and I decided to help my classmates and people by tutoring them. I was awarded twice in my university as outstanding physics student and given different awards and scholarships to do research during the school year and summer.
I work hard and take pride in my work. I do not step down from challenges or anything that is hard. I excel at figuring out dilemmas even with no previous knowledge. I turn in my work on time and every project I do gets the proper respect and time it deserves.
